We took a short newsletter break for the summer, but we're back and feeling all the excitement of early fall in Fayetteville. We've been busy at work on an online shop, a new sign + display tables, and planning several shop events for the coming months! Here's what we've got coming up:
WITH + Flora Fall Swag Workshop // Come have a cocktail and take a lesson in fall swag making from one of Fayetteville's very best, Pam Pemberton of Flora, at the shop later this month! We've penciled it in for late September -- official date will be announced soon!
WITH Home Supply online shop is launching in just a few weeks! // The highly creative + skilled team at One Big Kid has been building our new website and online shop. We've got a little more work to do before it goes live, but we love how it's coming together and we can't wait to share it with y'all.
Quarterly Sound w/ Martha Cardwell + John David Blagg // You're going to want to hear these two perform at the shop on October 21st. They've got some southern soul and we hope you come get down with us.

Place // Tanner and I spent an amazing, but quick week in Southern France this summer. Some highlights include: an indulgent beach day at Plage Joseph in Juan les Pins, seafood, pasta, and yacht watching at The African Queen on Cap Ferrat, Emily Fitzgerald (and Martha Stewart) spotting in Cannes, Le Coffret Design House in the Italian Alps on the way down to the coast, and our secluded AirBnB in the middle of town in Èze Village. Also, rosè all day.
Read // I really enjoyed this article about the difference in the way our culture teaches boys and girls to approach risks and adventure. I am also re-reading A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken, which is the story of he and his wife Davy's adventurous marriage and spiritual journey.
Discovery // I brought back some dried lavender from Provence and made simple sachets to stuff in my linen drawers. I've also been loving our new essential oil towelettes (in-store now). One of my favorite uses so far has been occasionally tossing a lemon towelette into the washing machine to naturally brighten whites or dab a fresh stain and watch it disappear.
Place // I recently spent a week in Lake City, Colorado where Lucas’ family has a house. I’ve been going there on vacation with them for the past decade and it is the perfect retreat spot. We spent the week waking up slow, talking for two hours over breakfast on the porch, exploring trails in the old jeeps they keep there, hiking a 14,000 footer, biking into town and getting ice cream at the soda fountain, camping, and making dinner over drinks (and Olympics) in the evening. Best kind of rest.

Discovery // 1) Redbud Garden has a booth at the Fayetteville Farmer’s market and I’ve been so into their herbal healing salve this summer. It’s an amazing remedy for bug bites + skin irritations and they say it’s also great for chapped skin and diaper rash too, so I just bought extras to throw in baby gifts. 2) BLKBOX Labs has created BLK PPR, a collection of custom designed digital wallpaper which they’ve been releasing one at a time over the past several weeks. They’re incredibly interesting and thoughtful and you can download them for any of your devices (for free!) here.
